For the woman who loves him and still can't stop watching for the exit.
Free live nervous system workshop
He's been quiet since dinner. You've already run the scenarios. You know it's probably nothing, and your chest is treating it like an emergency anyway.
Free 60-minute training. Tuesday, December 1 at 5pm PT / 8pm ET. Can't make it live? Register anyway and you'll get the replay for 48 hours.
On Tuesday, December 1, I'm teaching a free live training on why your body keeps scanning for the ending, and the first move that starts changing it.
You read his last three messages for a change in tone. You'd call it checking. It's closer to forensic accounting.
He answers with one word, and the floor tilts.
A plan gets canceled, and your mind skips every reasonable explanation and lands on the ending.
You ask "are we okay?" He says yes. You're okay for about forty minutes.
You know you're overreacting while you're doing it. Knowing has never once stopped it.
Underneath all of it is a sentence you rarely say out loud: at some point he's going to leave, and I should have seen it coming. So you keep watching. His tone, his timing, the way he said goodnight. It feels like protection. It's also why you're so tired.
Somewhere along the way, your body learned that closeness can end without warning. So it posted a lookout. Every pause, every shift in tone, every quiet evening gets checked for signs, because being caught off guard once was too much.
That lookout doesn't answer to logic. You can tell yourself he loves you, even believe it, and the alarm keeps going. Reassurance settles it for a while, then it wants more. Insight explains it, then it fires again the next time he's tired.
This is why you can understand your pattern perfectly and still spiral. You can explain your attachment style. You could probably explain his. Your stomach still drops when he goes quiet.
Nothing is broken here. A protective system is working overtime. In my work, it changes when your body gets a different experience of what happens when he goes quiet, and that is something you practice, not something you think your way into.
On Tuesday we'll look at what the watching is protecting, why the usual fixes wear off (more reassurance, more reasoning, more willpower), and the first practical move for working with it directly.
I'm Haile Tanner, a nervous system coach and emotional processing practitioner. I know the spiral from the inside, and I've spent years learning what actually changes it.
I grew up in healing spaces, in a family that has been doing this work for more than 45 years. I used to chase emotionally unavailable men till one day I decided "enough is enough!" and got certified, created the Healing Hearts Method, a podcast, a community of women who want to choose themselves. I've lived this story, not just studied it, and that's what became the method to help you thrive in your relationships.
On Tuesday, I'll walk you through how I'd apply it to your specific situation.
I'm blown away. I have talked to counselors and therapists, and this is next level.
Lauren • Root to Rise
Haile is a true gem. She is so attuned, intuitive and honed in. It felt so good to speak to somebody who is so knowledgeable, experienced and attuned to the avoidant-anxious dynamic. It helped me go deeper and understand me, the avoidant-anxious cycle and the relationship.
Priya • Deeply Rooted
She was very calm, patient, and understanding. I felt safe to open up in her presence. She guided me to see my old patterns and how to proactively change them. I feel that I will be forever changed for the better.
Sarah • Root to Rise
No. Come with the situation you're in. That's enough.
Probably nothing about understanding your pattern. This training starts where understanding stops: what to do in your body in the moment it hits.
No. Part of the training is learning to separate a spiral from a real signal. If something is off, you'll trust that more, not less.
Register anyway. You'll get the replay by email, and it stays up for 48 hours. If you'd rather talk through your own situation, you can also book a private consultation.
No. This is a real training with real substance. At the end I'll tell you how to book a private consultation if you want to talk about working together. If you don't, you'll still leave with something you can use that night.
The training is built around the spiral that happens inside a relationship, including the early months of one. If you're between relationships, you may still get something from it, but it won't be tailored to you.
On Tuesday, you get an hour to put it down and look at what's underneath. Live, free, and built for the way this actually feels in your body.
